Sunshine and Sage Group is a Black woman-owned boutique consulting firm founded in 2021. The firm provides public and non-profit leaders with resources and solutions that transform their leadership, boost their team’s performance, and maximize their organization’s effectiveness. Leaders in the public and non-profit sectors manage and deliver critical support for our society. They lead organizations making a difference in pivotal areas like education, affordable housing, public health, the environment, violence against women, food insecurity, and many other critical areas. Sunshine and Sage Group exists to ensure the people doing society’s most important work are compassionate, anti-racist, strategic, and knowledgeable leaders.

Shereen is a creator, a sage advisor, and a lover of learning. She thrives in spaces with intentional community building and a culture of inquiry. As the founder of Sunshine and Sage Group, a boutique consulting firm, Shereen provides resources and solutions for leaders in public and nonprofit spaces. She is passionate about creating experiences for leaders that shift their thinking as well as their practice. Her focus is on ensuring the leaders of public and nonprofit organizations are compassionate, anti-racist, strategic, and knowledgeable.
Shereen is a systems thinker with deep experience working with senior leaders and governing boards. She skillfully stewards all types of partnerships and has a dynamic, well-paced, and personable facilitation and training style. Her career includes roles at DC Public Schools, The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Education Board Partners.
Shereen has a Masters in Urban Planning from New York University and a Bachelors in Political Science from the University of Michigan. She currently teaches nonprofit governance at Georgetown’s Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership.
Away from the office, she is usually busy with her 12-year-old daughter, on her Peloton bike, or at the beach with her good girlfriends.
